About the Program

What makes us think the way we do? How do our brains influence our behavior and vice versa? You can help answer these questions and more when you study the neurobiology of behavior.

Discover the interdisciplinary principles of behavioral neuroscience and learn to apply them in professional settings to help solve complex, real-world problems. Your coursework will culminate in a research project under the supervision of a faculty mentor with research interests in the areas of behavioral, cognitive, affective, and clinical neuroscience. This PhD program is designed to prepare you for independent research and teaching in behavioral neuroscience. Graduate students will receive a competitive five-year package that includes a 12-month stipend along with tuition and health insurance.
